Okay, so before you pass out because I’m actually posting to my blog, there’s something really important I want you to know - I’ve missed you!!! Now that that’s out of the way, I have something really important to ask you…
When someone compliments you on something you’ve made, do you say, “Thanks, I made it” or does a simple “thank you” suffice? I’ve carried this purse a handful of times, and each time a stranger has complimented it. While I was tempted to tell them I made it, I chickened out every time and just said thanks. Of course I knew I would come to my blog and show you all my purse.
So here it is! And did I forget to mention that I made it? ‘Cause I did.

So what do you say in that situation?
Hi! Glad you are back
I have missed you!!!! Um- I am not sure- I think that if it is a good friend I might tell- it depends on the situation. I LOVE the purse! Gorgeous!
I would say. “Thank you! I had so much fun making it!” This way, they know you made it, but it doesn’t count as bragging:) Of course, plan on everyone you tell to then ask you to make them one. Like me. I totally want one. How much?
Glad you’re back, I’ve missed you!
I love the purse! I think Lydia’s idea is a good one…let’s them know without “bragging”!
Good to see you posting again! I love the purse. I’d just say thank you…and then tell them what a hard time you have finding cute purses. Then their next question will be, “Where DID you find that?” and you can tell them…”I made it! I can’t find cute purses, so I have to make them!”
And then they’ll say something like, Hey - can you make ME one? And you can tell them about this cute toille fabric that you have that you just don’t know what to do with.
I love Lydia and Marti’s suggestions. Very cute purse.

Wow! There’s certainly nothing wrong with telling people you made something. You might actually meet a fellow crafter (though you’re more likely to meet more people who want you to make them one).
